New York’s bio/med industry employs thousands of workers across the state in fields including medical research, advanced manufacturing, bioinformatics, artificial intelligence, computer software, and the development of life-enhancing and life-saving drugs, devices and treatments. Bolstered by our world-class universities, our unparalleled physical assets, and the state’s rich tradition of innovation, the bio/med industry is driving the future of the state’s economy.

Our ability to grow this industry sector, to attract outside investment, and to position New York State as the choice for the next generation of workers is threatened by vexing workforce challenges. To address these challenges, MedTech is bringing together industry, academic and government leaders, along with workforce problem-solvers, to tackle this most pressing issue at our New York Bio/Med Industry Workforce Summit.

The purpose of the New York Bio/Med Industry Workforce Summit is: to identify the breadth and scope of our industry’s workforce challenges; to bring together stakeholders to share solutions; and to forge meaningful and lasting collaborations aimed at advancing our shared interests.
