Title: Beyond Compliance to Thriving Diverse Talent Pools: An EEO Discussion for Manufacturing Apprenticeships
Date and Time: Tuesday, May 4, 2:00 to 3:15 p.m. ET
Location: Webex (link to be shared)
Registered Apprenticeship (RA) programs can be effective vehicles for diversifying the talent pipeline in the manufacturing industry, and they can benefit employers and workers alike. RA offers people from underrepresented populations opportunities to acquire the skills and knowledge required in high-wage jobs that offer pathways to economic mobility. They also benefit employers by expanding the pool of workers who are qualified for hard-to-fill jobs.
This webinar will examine ways in which employers, sponsors, and other apprenticeship providers can more effectively recruit and retain women, Black and Latinx workers, and members of other underrepresented populations. Speakers who are experts in workplace diversity, equity, and inclusion practices will cover the rudiments of adhering to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) regulations, as well as best practices that go beyond pro forma compliance and help you truly create opportunities for workers from underrepresented, and often overlooked, communities.
