Depending on which way the nose is pointed in their office and warehouse, one can pick up notes of vanilla, pine, ginger and mandarin – as well as mint, bourbon, gardenia and even fresh cut grass. On a recent Friday, rose dominated the air.”

New tenant sought for Rotterdam cold storage warehouse

“A huge empty cold storage warehouse at the Rotterdam Corporate Park will be the focus of a renewed marketing effort.

National Grid, the Schenectady County Metroplex Development Authority and the Galesi Group, owner of the industrial park, said last week they were investing a combined $20,000 in the campaign.”

Tonko pushing for more broadband internet funding after victory for NY

“U.S. Rep. Paul Tonko, still celebrating his role in securing $99 million in federal funding for high-speed internet service in New York state, is now seeking even more federal dollars for the effort.

Tonko included a provision in the $1.4 trillion omnibus spending bill passed by the House that would fund an additional $730 million in broadband subsidies for companies to expand into mostly poor rural areas not served by large cable TV providers like Spectrum and Verizon.”

Community Loan fund helped with pandemic relief in 2020

“The Community Loan Fund in Albany had a busy year helping businesses survive the coronarvirus pandemic in 2020.

The Albany-based nonprofit awarded $426,000 in pandemic relief to small businesses.”
