SNAPSHOT: Girls in STEM

The Record

On Saturday, hundreds of Capital Region girls in grades four through eight participated in the sixth annual Girls in STEM event at Hudson Valley Community College’s TEC-SMART campus in Malta. The event featured 11 hands-on workshops facilitated by leaders and educators in STEM professions designed to illustrate the fun side of science and technology. Girls in STEM is a collaboration between AT&T, Hudson Valley Community College, Saratoga County Prosperity Partnership, the Center for Economic Growth and other local partners. The lineup of speakers included Congressman Paul Tonko.
