Capitalize Albany names Ashley Mohl president
“Ashley Mohl, who had been serving as interim leader of Capitalize Albany Corp., has been named president of the organization, which serves as the city’s economic development arm.
The board of directors approved the appointment during its monthly meeting this month.”
Ground Will Be Broken Soon For A New Warehouse For Arnoff Global Logistics
“At headquarters in Malta, Arnoff Moving & Storage has built an enhanced logistics and delivery system for clients who need warehousing, packing and shipping services as their inventory is transferred or sold.
According to Daniel Arnoff, chief relationship officer and fifth-generation member of the family-owned business, the Arnoff Global Logistics division has outgrown its warehousing space and will soon break ground on a new 100,000-120,000-square-foot facility to suit their expansion trajectory.”
RPI president Schmidt named to CHIPS policy panel
“Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute President Martin Schmidt has been named to a semiconductor industry panel that helps drive policy for the $52 billion CHIPS & Science Act that is fueling growth in the U.S. computer chip industry.
Schmidt was named to the CHIPS for America’s Industrial Advisory Committee, a panel of many top leaders in the semiconductor industry.”
Schumer announces $215M in aid for Albany’s Livingston Avenue Bridge
“The state’s plans to replace the Livingston Avenue Bridge got a major financial boost Thursday, thanks to $215 million in federal funding Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer encouraged the government to support.
The award from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety Improvements Program is the largest in the program’s history and will cover roughly a third of the more than $600 million replacement cost.”
