Village of Catskill wins $10 million state grant; $4.5 million going to Village of Athens
“The Village of Catskill and Village of Athens have been awarded a combined $14.5 million toward redevelopment improvements to help transform their downtown areas, the governor’s office announced Wednesday.
The Village of Catskill is the latest $10 million Capital Region winner of New York State’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI). The Village of Athens was named as one of two communities that will each see $4.5 million through the NY Forward Program.”
New Waterford apartments planned for site off Hudson River Road
“A plan to build a 206-unit apartment complex in Waterford is back before the town nearly 20 years after it was first proposed.
The project at 116 Hudson River Road, just south of the Momentive plant, has been proposed on and off since 2007, said Waterford town planner David Woodin.”
UAlbany has $384M pipeline of construction projects
“As the University at Albany pursues $250 million in state funding for a new 150,000-square-foot building devoted to researching and teaching health science, the school has numerous other construction projects that were recently completed, in progress or on the horizon.
All told, the region’s biggest university has $384.1 million of new or upgraded facilities completed or planned – work that was done within the past couple of years or is fully or partially funded, or not yet funded, for the near future.”
