Albany airport getting new flights to Fla., Vegas

“Starting Dec. 19, JetBlue will add a nonstop flight to Fort Lauderdale, Fla, according to airport spokesman Steve Smith.

Southwest is scheduled on Monday to begin nonstop flights to Las Vegas, departing on Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.”

Restoration of Schenectady’s Wedgeway Building nears finish

“Work to restore the historic Wedgeway Building at the corner of State Street and Erie Boulevard in downtown Schenectady is nearing completion, according to the developer behind the project.

Marc Paquin, president of Cass Hill Development, said the 30 apartment units that make up the upper levels of the existing buildings located at 271-277 State St. are on track to begin being leased out by the fall.”

Clinton Market Collective celebrates grand opening in Albany

“The city on Thursday celebrated the completion of three projects meant to transform Clinton Square into a gateway to the city.

The city’s hope is that the improvements will create a thriving hub that connects its downtown and the Warehouse District.”

U.S. Light Energy named New York’s top solar developer

“U.S. Light Energy, a solar installation firm based in Latham, was named the No. 1 solar developer in New York state by Solar Power World magazine.

The rankings are based on how much solar capacity a company installed or developed in 2023. U.S. Light Energy installed 17,641 kilowatts of solar last year, which also ranked it 18th in the country, according to the magazine, which publishes its Top Solar Contractors list each year.”
