Ecovative sets sights on $200M revenue goal

“Green Island-based company Ecovative LLC wants to more than double its head count and reach $210 million in annual revenue by 2029.

That’s according to a business plan shared with the Albany County Business Development Corp., which recently approved the sustainable materials company for a $1 million low-interest loan.”

NY CREATES signs agreement with Japanese trade office

“NY CREATES, the nonprofit that oversees the Albany NanoTech complex on Fuller Road, will partner with the Japan External Trade Organization on computer chip research and development.

JETRO was created in 1958 to promote Japanese exports in the decades following Japan’s defeat in World War II. The organization also helps facilitate international investment in Japan.”

Saratoga Springs firm gets $1 million to become chip material supplier

“Free Form Fibers of Saratoga Springs was awarded a $925,898 grant from the Department of Energy that could help it validate plans to supply silicon carbide powder to the semiconductor industry.

Free Form Fibers makes composite synthetic ceramics used in the aerospace, energy and industrial markets. The company’s manufacturing process uses a laser-based chemical vapor deposition process.”

Tree House Brewing website starts Saratoga beer orders

“Those looking to try out Tree House Brewing’s beer will get their first chance to stop by its Saratoga Springs location Friday and Saturday, according to the company’s website.

The Massachusetts-based brewing company, which is building an over 20,000-square-foot location on Route 9 in Saratoga Springs, has its beer-to-go option available 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday.”
