Former Cascades plant in Waterford on Hudson River Road sold for $8.5M
“The former Cascades tissue plant in Waterford has sold for $8.5 million, according to a deed filed with the Saratoga County clerk’s office on Friday.
The buyer was an LLC with the same address as Cohoes scrap metal recycler Nathan H. Kelman Inc.”
Kinsley Group Inc. to move Albany region office to Clifton Park
“Kinsley Group Inc., which sells, rents and services power generating equipment, is moving from north Albany to a larger facility in Clifton Park that has more room for outdoor storage and can accommodate anticipated growth.
The company bought a building and adjacent lot at 750-752 Pierce Road for $1.8 million and will be moving there from its longtime office at 60 Loudonville Road near the Albany Memorial campus of Samaritan Hospital.”
Albany startup Markets EQ bought by Texas-based Humach
“Albany-based startup Markets EQ has been acquired after nearly two years of operation.
The artificial intelligence startup was acquired by Humach, a customer service outsourcing company. Humach staffs both live customer service agents as well as digital agents powered by AI through phone calls and chat features for companies like Amazon, Carfax, and McDonald’s. The company is based in Texas.”
The teen behind Solefully, the Crocs accessory maker
“High school senior Michael Satterlee started his business with a 3D printer in his bedroom last year.
That business — called Solefully — creates accessories for Crocs shoes. It took off on social media.”
