For over 30 years, the Capital Region has made a concentrated effort to develop a hub for the global semiconductor industry. Through focused investments that advance next generation high technology research and commercialization activities at SUNY Polytechnic Institute and RPI, as well as targeted economic development projects to attract leading companies including GLOBALFOUNDRIES, Applied Materials, Tokyo Electron, ASML and Lam Research, the region is on the map, but work still remains. How will the region continue to invest and grow with this industry?
