Troy’s Dutch Udder ice cream to expand
“Troy ice cream shop The Dutch Udder Craft Ice Cream is expanding.
The shop at 282 River Street is annexing the space next door that was formerly Curated Phases, a jewelry store.”
Hudson becomes a high-end hot spot for real estate
“Dan Ragone had never been to Hudson when he first visited the small city in the summer of 2020. Ragone had worked in fashion publishing for decades at publications like Elle, Elle Decor and Interview. When he was laid off early in the pandemic, he left New York City to stay with family in Naples, Florida. He was looking for a change.
[My friend] said, ‘You should go to Hudson, there’s a great art scene and antiques scene, everyone is creative, and they have beautiful homes,’ Ragone said. ‘It felt like a storybook, there was no Chipotle, every kind of architecture you could think of, and beautiful parks.’
GlobalFoundries graduates first-ever apprentices at Fab 8
“GlobalFoundries says it has graduated its first-ever class of three apprentices at its Fab 8 computer chip manufacturing and headquarters campus in Saratoga County.
The GF Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship Program is the first of its kind in the semiconductor industry, GlobalFoundries says. The program was launched in 2021 with the National Institute for Innovation and Technology to address shortages of qualified workers for the industry.
