GE Research developing tech in Niskayuna to take CO2 out of air
“A team of more than 50 scientists and engineers have been assembled at GE Research in Niskayuna to help develop new technologies to fight climate change by taking carbon out of the atmosphere and hiding it away or recycling it for more sustainable uses.
GE Research, working with GE Vernova, GE’s newly created clean energy-focused company, announced it has successfully developed its first direct air capture system that can capture carbon dioxide out of the air for storage underground or re-use by other industries.”
“Soleno Inc. of Quebec won planning board approval to construct a $22 million plastic pipe factory that will bring up to 50 jobs to the W.J. Grande Industrial Park in Saratoga Springs.
The multiphase project would mark the first U.S. expansion for the 46-year-old, second-generation Canadian firm.”
