“Saratoga BioChar Solutions will build a $45 million factory in Moreau after the planning board approved construction of a controversial proposal to convert human waste into carbon fertilizer late Thursday night.
Following more than a year of review, the planning board voted 4-2 to approve BioChar’s application before a packed town hall crowd of often-emotional neighborhood protestors.”
Albany Inno – Free Form Fibers ‘on the cusp’ of getting first large orders
“Shay Harrison says his company’s production facility is eerily quiet these days.
That’s because the workers at Free Form Fibers are generally around just once a week to collect the materials produced. The startup earlier this year worked out the kinks to automate the operation as customers are testing larger amounts of the materials.”
Economic benefits eyed in Scenic Byway region
“The Durham Valley Scenic Byway in Greene County has been designated a part of the New
York State Scenic Byways System after a bill authored by state Sen. Michelle Hinchey, D-Saugerties, and Assemblyman Chris Tague, R-Schoharie, was signed into law by Gov. Kathy Hochul on Thursday.
The roadways in the bill, which include 21 miles of road spanning the towns of Durham and Windham, were designated as scenic roads by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation in 1991, one year before the creation of the New York State Scenic Byways program by the state Legislature.”
Albany Inno – Backed by $1 billion, Key Capture Energy plans for rapid growth
“Key Capture Energy has about 100 megawatts of energy storage projects in the U.S., and that number is about to explode.
“By 2030, only a little over seven years from now, we’ll be effectively 60 times that amount,” said Jeff Bishop, CEO of Key Capture Energy.”
