The Downstate New York SBIR Assistance Center at Stony Brook University, in collaboration with BBC Entrepreneurial Training & Consulting, is offering two virtual webinars in December to assist small businesses obtain federal SBIR grants, allowing the continuation of R&D that will have strong potential for technology commercialization. The 45 minute webinar on December 7th will discuss the purpose, timelines, submission web portal and strategies for preparing a DOE Letter of Intent (LOI). At the conclusion of this webinar, participants will be equipped to prepare and submit a compelling LOI, which is a requirement prior to submitting a full proposal to the DOE SBIR/STTR Program.  For the current DOE open Phase I solicitation the LOI deadline is January 3, 2022.

The December 9th webinar (5½ hours) will feature a DOD-focused workshop providing detailed instruction on preparing a proposal to meet the requirements of the DOD, including both technical and commercialization plans, and navigating the submission process.
