Thomson House Resort sold to Wylder Hotels, now called Wylder Windham
“The new owner of the former Thomson House Resort has started renovating the 141-year-old property in Greene County.
Wylder Hotels of Los Angeles bought the 110-room, full-service resort on Route 296 in Windham in June for $2.27 million, according to a deed filed in the county clerk’s office.”
A biofuel plant in the Catskills? Hughes Energy says plant will fight climate change
“A Yonkers-based company is attempting to build a plant in the Catskill Park to convert food waste and other trash into paper products and “biofuel pellets” that could replace coal.
The plant would be the first in the U.S. to use the technology, which Hughes Energy says will help New York reach its ambitious climate goals by diverting more than 176,000 tons of garbage from landfills each year. But the premier environmental group in the region is wary of the proposal, and Hughes Energy principles were met with anger during two public information sessions held on the project.”
$3.2M park project to increase river access
“Riverside Park is about to get a major facelift.
Gov. Kathy Hochul on Friday announced a $3.2 million project to revitalize Riverside Park and the
Coxsackie State Boat Launch.”
$60M design proposed for Troy’s One Monument Square by Hoboken Brownstone Co.
“A development team today released the proposed design for a six-story, mixed-use building and public plaza at One Monument Square in downtown Troy that would cost more than $60 million — considerably higher than the initial projection.
Hoboken Brownstone Co. of New Jersey and Mayor Patrick Madden released the drawings after more than two years of outreach intended to avoid the pitfalls that stymied four other development teams over the past decade.”
Hudson Development signs off on Kaz deal
“After 10 years, the Hudson Development Corporation signed off on the sale of the
Montgomery Street property known as the Kaz site Wednesday.
The sale remains pending so the HDC cannot identify the buyer or the sale price of the property.”
Albany battery storage company Key Capture Energy to be acquired by SK E&S of South Korea
“Battery storage startup Key Capture Energy has reached an agreement to be acquired by an affiliate of SK Group, a chemical, energy and petroleum conglomerate headquartered in Seoul, South Korea.
The deal was announced Thursday and is expected to close by the end of the year. Terms were not disclosed. Executives from Key Capture Energy were not immediately available for comment.”
