Warren County trying to find a focus on tourism
“The Warren County Tourism Committee has decided against hiring a consultant to research how other areas have expanded their tourism seasons.
Queensbury at-Large Supervisor Mike Wild wanted to spend $3,500 to hire Smith Travel Report to research the issue.”
UPS leases 75,000-square-foot Halfmoon warehouse
“United Parcel Service has signed a 10-year lease for a former Cardinal Health distribution center on Liebich Lane in Halfmoon.
The logistics giant is leasing a 75,000-square-foot warehouse from Hemingway at Halfmoon LLC and Monmouth Real Estate Investment Corp., a New Jersey real estate investment trust. Terms of the lease were expected to begin this month, according to documents filed with the Saratoga County clerk’s office. The initial term of the lease is 125 months with an option to extend the lease for two additional five-year periods.”
Vyv’s antimicrobial LEDs coming to Delta planes and NJ Transit trains
“The LED antimicrobial lights made by Vyv, formerly Vital Vio, will be installed in onboard lavatories on the Delta Airlines 757-200 fleet.
The airline said last week it will begin installing the lights above lavatory sinks and countertops in mid-November and through early 2021.”
Midwest developer negotiating purchase of 245 acres in Luther Forest Tech Campus
“Scannell Properties, developer of the Amazon distribution center in Schodack, is negotiating the purchase of 245 acres near GlobalFoundries in the Luther Forest Technology Campus in Malta.
The privately owned Indianapolis real estate investor is planning a multiphase development near the $15 billion computer chip manufacturing complex off Stonebreak Road. The development would straddle parts of Malta and Stillwater with tentative plans calling for more than 1 million square feet of construction that could bring more than 1,000 jobs to Saratoga County over the next five to six years.”
