Technology Council
The Technology Council is our advisory board for all Grow programs,
those aimed to help the Region's technology and manufacturing businesses
become stronger. The Council is a standing body that reports to the
Executive Committee of the Board of Directors and is chaired by a member
of the CEG Board of Directors.
The Technology Council was formed by technology leaders in 1983 to
support the region's entrepreneurs and has a distinguished history as
the Region's preeminent champion of technology entrepreneurship and
business. The Council merged with the Center for Economic Growth in
1993 and has continued to evolve to meet the changing needs of the
dynamic entrepreneurial community. In specific, the Technology Council:
- Provides insight into unmet market needs and recommends new programs
- Aids in the refinement of existing programs, resolving issues related to each individual program as well as integrating or consolidating programs within the portfolio
- Advises on how to best focus resources, including transitioning programs to best-fit external owners or eliminating programs
