Economic development marketing awards announced

The New York State Economic Development Corp. today announced the winners of its 2008 Marketing Awards, presented during its annual meeting in Cooperstown last week.
Winners were divided into two categories: those with budgets less than $60,000, and those with budgets greater than that figure.
Regional award winners, all in the smaller category, were the Greene County IDA in Catskill, winning two certificates of excellence and one honorable mention in the development brochure category; the Center for Economic Growth in Albany, with a certificate of excellence in the multimedia advertising category; and the Central Business Improvement District in Albany and EDC Warren County in Glens Falls, each of which received a certificate of excellence in the printed and electronic newsletter category.
