CEG seeking nominations for 12th annual technology awards

Albany, N.Y. – The Center for Economic Growth (CEG) is seeking nominations for its 12th Annual Technology Awards Luncheon, which will honor Tech Valley’s most innovative and growth-oriented companies and individuals. Applications must be from the Tech Valley area.
This year, there are six award categories.
- Rising Star: A high-growth start-up company whose venture shows long-term promise
- Economic Winner: A company that exhibits substantial and sustained growth in sales and profitability, contributing to the overall regional economy and employment
- Technology Entrepreneur: An individual who has contributed to the development of the technology economy through the formation of new business, generation of wealth and exemplifying the risk-taking entrepreneurial spirit
- Technology Mentor: An individual who has shaped the technology community through championing the vision of Tech Valley, as well as by offering time, expertise and knowledge networks to support individual technology companies
- Technology in Production: A company that has developed or utilized new technology to significantly improve its production processes
- Intern: A student intern who has made a significant contribution to his or her company

CEG’s 12th Annual Technology Awards Luncheon will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at The Desmond Hotel and Conference Center in Albany.
The 2008 Technology Awards is underwritten by IBM. Additional sponsors currently include: Nixon Peabody LLP, Times Union, CDPHP, Fenimore Asset Management, Inc., Cabot Microelectronics Corporation and Absolute Promotions.
