Capital Region Local Government Council
The Capital Region Local Government Council (LGC) is comprised of the chief elected officials from the region’s villages, towns, cities and county governments. The LGC was founded in 1997 to give local government leaders a forum to identify issues of importance to local governments, discuss opportunities for regional cooperation, and foster working relationships among local leaders. LGC members meet in roundtable discussions and with outside speakers, helping to develop and executive CEG’s Prepare agenda.
The LCG is currently chaired by Albany Mayor, Gerald D.Jennings and Rensselaer County Executive, Kathleen Jimino.
