The Technology Industry Attraction initiative enhances the competitiveness of New York’s Tech Valley by providing a better understanding of the area’s capabilities and existing resources. CEG has developed an aggressive global industry marketing/attraction campaign, which includes trade show participation, industry-specific marketing collateral, sales calls, prospect generation and hosting special events - all targeted at key industry decision makers. CEG launched the initiative to foster and sustain a regional commitment to attract and grow diverse technology-based industries. CEG in partnership with National Grid; economic development agencies; small, medium and large businesses; government agencies; and research and development/academia, has demonstrated a long-term commitment to increasing the economic self-sufficiency of the Region by developing Tech Valley as a global technology powerhouse. The successes to date are a compelling testament to the power of this collaborative model in fostering to build technology-oriented economic development growth.
