60 companies sign on to Advancing Tech Valley's online resume program

Sixty local businesses are participating in a new online resume program designed to encourage young professionals to return to Tech Valley.
The new service is part of Advancing Tech Valley's "Discover Tech Valley, Rediscover Home" initiative. Companies participating in the program agree to give additional thought to former residents looking to return to the area.
The objective: People who already have connections to their communities are more apt to stay there.
"The businesses have agreed to give serious consideration to those applicants that are homegrown," said Lyn Taylor, president of the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce.
